Although no one really believed that the United States will introduce online casino legislation, it did - and the online casino industry had to pack its things and leave. With Europe becoming the 'next big thing' in global online casino gambling, the industry is playing it safe this time. As a positive approach towards the online casino industry spreads throughout Europe, operators are moving in on the market. Italy has now announced that online casino gambling licenses will be auctioned, and operators were quick to enroll themselves. The industry is constantly eyeing other markets, but is waiting for the governments to approve their presence. Greece and Ireland are expected to become pro-online gambling in the near future, and everyone is hoping that the change in Italy will speed things up for the online casino industry in Europe.

By working under European gambling licenses, the new online casino industry is much stronger than the previous one. Maybe revenues are down, but that is only temporary. Once most of Europe will be playing online, the revenue will be higher than ever, and with little risk of government interference, and value of the online casino industry will be at an all times high. The industry was working in America under impossible conditions, and every change in government policy affected everyone's business. Now, that the industry is rebuilding itself in Europe on a stable basis, the potential is higher than ever.
